Come learn about Pork! You’ll learn about the different cuts, what they cost and how to cook them. Along with that, Hillary will be cooking all of it, from simple pork chops and roasts to a fancy butterflied and stuffed chop! Join us in the bookshop kitchen with Hillary Needham! She’ll be talking chicken and what to do with it! She’ll start at the beginning, with how to cook a whole chicken and walk attendees through three different meals, Chicken and Noodles, Chicken Fried Rice, and White Chicken Enchiladas. She’ll also give you a few other ideas of dinners and give great tips (including the best way to freeze and thaw) along the way.

This is a great intro class on a subject that might seem a little scary – but it really isn’t!

Back by popular demand! Learn the basics of food photography with local professional photographer Katie Blauser of Blink of an Eye Photography. Through the assembly of a beautiful charcuterie board, Katie will discuss  how to style and photograph food including lighting tricks and how to use color. Check out her Instagram @eatprettydarling for inspiration.  Attendees will have the opportunity to assemble their own board to enjoy and photograph their creations. All you need to bring is your own phone or camera.

Katie’s not only outnumbered by boys in her little family, but also by picky eaters. Learn the basics of cooking with Once Upon a Thyme Instructors in a five-day series from June 17th – 21st from 9:30-1:00pm.

Each day will focus on a new country!  We’ll discuss different cultures while preparing new dishes and eating the creations. It will be an adventure of tastes and textures and everyone is sure to learn so many new things about flavors, both differences and similarities.  This is a hands on class and kids will be cooking with supervision.

Friday – China
