Do you love to cook and try new foods? This just might be the event for you! Cookbook Club is a lot like a conventional bookclub, but with a twist. Bring your favorite dish to share with the rest of the group! We’ll talk about the book and the recipes while enjoying an evening of really good food. Cookbook Club will meet every other month on the first Sunday evening.

July’s selection is “Ottolenghi Simple” by Yotam Ottolenghi. In this 2018 favorite, you’ll find new recipes for busy cooks. If you’re short on time and need something that’s easier than you think it’s going to be, this is sure to be one of your new go-to cookbooks!

The event itself is free, but please RSVP. Visit the shop and purchase your copy of the book and receive 20% off when you sign up for the cookbook club.

In June we will be reading Gingerbread by Helen Oyeyemi.

Perdita Lee may appear your average British schoolgirl; Harriet Lee may seem just a working mother trying to penetrate the school social hierarchy; but there are signs that they might not be as normal as they think they are. For one thing, they share a gold-painted, seventh-floor walk-up apartment with some surprisingly verbal vegetation. And then there’s the gingerbread they bake. Londoners may find themselves able to take or leave it, but it’s very popular in Druhastrana, the faraway (maybe nonexistent) land of Harriet’s youth. Many twists, turns, and mysteries along the way as we follow the Lee’s on their journey.

Purchase of the book from the shop is not required, but we do have copies available.
