Cookbook Club will meet every other month on the first Sunday evening.

May’s selection is “See You on Sunday” by Sam Sifton. Sam has written a cookbook to help us rediscover the art of Sunday supper and the joy of gathering with friends and family.

This month we’re having Breakfast for Dinner! Our menu will include doughnut muffins, apple pancakes with maple syrup butter, baked eggs with cream, spinach and parmesan, asparagus topped with bread crumbs & chopped eggs.  Join us for this really fun night with friends!

Come learn about Pork! You’ll learn about the different cuts, what they cost and how to cook them. Along with that, Hillary will be cooking all of it, from simple pork chops and roasts to a fancy butterflied and stuffed chop! With the leftovers, Hillary will show you how to make some quick and crowd-pleasing sandwiches. Come join us!

Break out all the green attire and bring your kids in for a big St. Patrick’s Day Party! We’ll be celebrating a few days early with the kids and making leprechaun traps, holiday-themed snacks, and having green lemonade along with games and so much more fun!

March’s selection is “Milk Street: The New Rules ” by Christopher Kimball. This book promises recipes that are sure to change the way you cook! It’s a playbook for the new chef, as well as the seasoned chef who feels a bit stuck in a rut. Fun recipes include Vietnamese Chicken Salad, Indian-Spiced Potatoes and Peas, and Mexican Wedding Stew.

Join us in the bookshop kitchen with Hillary Needham! She’ll be talking chicken and what to do with it! She’ll start at the beginning, with how to cook a whole chicken and walk attendees through three different meals, Chicken and Noodles, Chicken Fried Rice, and White Chicken Enchiladas. She’ll also give you a few other ideas of dinners and give great tips (including the best way to freeze and thaw) along the way.
